Welcome to Basic Designs (the “Service”), a tool that extracts design tokens (colors, typography, spacing, components) from websites you submit. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

0. Legal Notice (Aviso Legal)

Basic Designs is an independent, personal, non-commercial project operated by an individual, not a registered company.

• Nature of service: Free, experimental tool currently in beta/testing, offered without a business entity behind it.

1. Beta Status

This is an early, pre-launch version of the Service, shared for testing and feedback purposes only. It is provided “as is,” may change without notice, may contain bugs, and is not guaranteed to be available, stable, or accurate at all times.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service responsibly. In particular, you agree not to:

• Submit URLs for websites you do not have the right to analyze, or in violation of that site's own terms of service or robots.txt directives.
• Use the Service to scrape, extract, or reproduce content for unlawful purposes, including copyright or trademark infringement.
• Attempt to overload, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use the Service to build a directly competing product using our extraction pipeline without permission.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate rights or permissions to run the Service against any website you submit, especially client or proprietary sites.

3. Intellectual Property

• Your submissions: You retain any rights you have in the URLs or sites you submit; we claim no ownership over third-party website content.
• Extracted output: Design tokens generated by the Service are provided to you for your own use. Note that the underlying visual designs of third-party sites may themselves be protected by copyright, trademark, or other rights belonging to their owners — extraction for your own reference does not transfer or waive those rights.
• The Service itself: The Basic Designs tool, its code, branding, and design are owned by Gufran Ahmed and are not licensed to you beyond your use of the Service as intended.

4. Feedback

If you submit feedback through the in-app widget, you grant us permission to use that feedback (including quotes or paraphrased summaries) to improve the product, without obligation to compensate or credit you.

5. No Warranty

The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of extracted design tokens, uptime, or fitness for a particular purpose. Given its beta status, results may be incomplete, incorrect, or unavailable at times.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gufran Ahmed is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any issues arising from content extracted from third-party websites.

7. Termination

We may suspend or discontinue the Service (or your access to it) at any time, particularly given its current beta/testing status, without prior notice.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms as the Service develops. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict of law principles.
